Welcome
Welcome to Crossroads Mental Health Services! I am Amy Kellison and I am so glad you have landed here. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor serving the greater Plainview, Texas area. Whether it is with individuals or families, children or adults, I am committed to helping you find your way through the twists and turns that life can bring.
I am an experienced educator, starting my career as a school teacher in 2006. I went on to become a Licensed School Counselor in 2010. I have a broad knowledge base of school policy — including state mandated testing, Special Education/Section 504 law, school related services and much more. I began working as a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern in 2012, gaining full licensure in 2015. At that time, I maintained a small private practice while also serving as an Elementary School Counselor. I have been privileged to serve individuals in therapy, ranging in various ages and stages of life. I am a trained helper of a wide range of disorders, including ADHD, Adjustment Disorder, anxiety, depression, Oppositional Defiant Disorder and beyond. I can help with life issues revolving around topics such as adoption, bullying, divorce, grief, learning disabilities, self esteem/self-care, marriage & family, parenting, and much more. My approach in therapy is eclectic, utilizing various methods and theories, such as Solution Focused, CBT, Adlerian, and Gestalt — just to name a few.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development & Family Studies from Texas Tech University in 2005. I received my Master of Arts in Counseling from Wayland Baptist University in 2011. I am board certified by the Texas State Board of Examiners. I am also a National Board Certified Counselor.
Therapy is a collaboration between the helper and the client. I am willing and able to help you no matter what direction life is steering you. I look forward to joining you on your journey!
